Lance Tucker is a seasoned executive in the restaurant and hospitality industry, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jack in the Box Inc., a role he recently accepted after coming back to Jack in the Box as CFO in January of 2025. 

His extensive career includes previous CFO positions at Davidson Hospitality Group, CKE Restaurants, and Papa John’s International, Inc. Notably, Tucker first joined Jack in the Box as CFO in March 2018, where he played a pivotal role in implementing the company’s securitization strategy and enhancing shareholder value before departing in July 2020. His return to Jack in the Box underscores his deep understanding of the company’s operations, proven track record in driving financial performance, and strong partnership with the Jack in the Box franchise community. 

Tucker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Beyond his professional achievements, he maintains a strong connection to his alma mater, serving on the Board of Trustees for Transylvania University.  Is a huge fan of University of Kentucky basketball, loves horses, golf, and spending as much time with his (3) children as possible.

Upon his return to Jack in the Box, Tucker has orchestrated and launched the “Jack on Track” plan. Developed to enhance long term financial performance across its restaurant system by solidifying Franchise Development, hitting their growth goals (+2.5% unit growth by 2027), Menu and Digital Innovation.
