He has facilitated change for Fortune 500 Companies, retail corporations, and hospitality companies alike. A Kenyan native, has an empathic approach to leadership grounded in his lived experience and world view.
Husein has overseen some of the largest divisions of Sodexo North America. He has served as Global CMO, Corporate Services, Group SVP Global Consumer Client Insights, SVP Global Pricing, and President of Retail Brand Group. He currently serves as CEO, Tech & Services and CEO, Food Transformation.
As CEO, Tech & Services, he led a complete team transformation that drove efficiency and allowed them to better deliver on their promises to employees, clients and consumers. As CEO, Food Transformation, he successfully integrated a new line of business for Sodexo with Convenience Solutions (InReach), growing it by 76% in three years.
Prior to Sodexo, he improved operating efficiency, reduced labor costs, and exceeded sales for the Walt Disney Company as an Operations Manager.
Husein has been named a National Restaurant Association’s American Dream Award Finalist, a Restaurants and Institutions’ Top 20 under 40 “Mover and Shaper” and has received the CEO Marketplace Excellence Award. He serves on the Board of NAMA, the Executive Board for the Council on Brand Management, as Senior Operator of Technomic, and is a Founding Member of the Fast Casual Executive Alliance.
