John Murphy is President and Chief Financial Officer of The Coca-Cola Company. He oversees Finance and Strategy; Platform Services; Digital Transformation; and Customer and Commercial Leadership. Murphy is responsible for representing the company with multiple stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and rating agencies.
Murphy was named CFO in 2019 and president in 2022. Murphy began his career with Coca-Cola in 1988 and went on to hold a variety of general management, finance and strategic planning roles around the world.
Before joining Coca-Cola, Murphy was an auditor for Price Waterhouse in Dublin.
Murphy is a member of the boards of Vanguard, Coca-Cola FEMSA, The Coca-Cola Foundation, and Engage. He is on the board of trustees of the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta.
Murphy earned a bachelor’s degree in business studies from Trinity College in Dublin and a diploma in professional accounting from University College in Dublin. He is a chartered accountant of the Irish Institute of Chartered Accountants.
